WWRSA Fishing Club – 2026 Competition Wrap-Up

Hi WWRSA Fishos, Friends, and Supporters,

What a fantastic day we had at the 2026 Fishing Competition! Despite the weather not being entirely in our favour, we were lucky to have a safe fishing window that allowed competitors to get out early and return before the winds picked up around midday.

Thank you to everyone who adapted so well to the conditions.

A huge shout‑out to our amazing RSA Committee members, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this event possible. Your effort and dedication are truly appreciated.

We’d also like to extend special thanks to:

  • Colin from Hunting & Fishing

  • Our superb auctioneer

  • The weigh‑in team – for managing the weigh-in and taking care of fish

  • Raina and Toni Watts – for organising results and administration

  • All competitors – you all rock!

  • Our generous sponsors:

  • Total Groundcare Ltd for their donations towards our spot/raffle prizes

  • Asphalt and Repairs, Andy Mowday, and Kim Richards

Prize Winners

  • Average Weight Prize:
Gary Jones, with a fish weighing 0.92 kg – $1,000 prize

  • Valentine’s Women’s Lucky Ticket Draw:
         Jill Mowday – $500 prize

Thank you to everyone who participated and supported the event. We couldn’t do it without you.
